King David
Detail from the Jesse Window, St. Dyfnog's Church, Llanrhaeadr, Denbigh, Clwyd
Reproduced by kind permission of Rev. Michael Williams, vicar of Llanrhaeadr
Completed in 1533 and fairly recently restored by Peter Gibson of the York Glaziers Trust, the window at St Dyfnog's church Llanrhaeadr is one of the finest medieval stained glass windows in Wales. It depicts the descent of Christ from Jesse, father of David and Samuel. John Launer writes about King David in Coda this month.
