One Hundred and Third Annual General Meeting

The one hundred and third Annual General Meeting was held in the Leonard Deacon Lecture Theatre, Wolfson Centre for Medical Education at the University of Birmingham on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd April, 2009. The attendance book was signed by ordinary members and senior members.

The President, Professor H Thurston took the chair.

(1) Minutes

The minutes of the last Annual General Meeting, having been published in the QJM were taken as read, confirmed and signed.

(2) Matters arising

There were no matters arising that were not on the agenda.

(3) Election of Officers & Committee

Prof Thurston advised it was his pleasure to step down as President and invited Prof M Sheppard to lead the meeting.

The following Officers and Executive Officers were elected:
Executive Committee
President: Professor M. Sheppard
President-elect: Professor I. Leigh
Honorary Treasurer: Professor J. Iredale
Honorary Secretary: Professor Dermot Kelleher
